Before installation day, we deliver materials a day or two early, protect your landscaping with tarps and plywood, and confirm a weather window. The crew arrives early — usually by 7 a.m. — and begins the tear-off. Most roofs come off in a single day; the noise is intense but brief.
Once the old roof is off, we inspect the deck for rot and replace any damaged boards before installing underlayment, ice-and-water shield in valleys and eaves, and drip edge. This is the layer that actually keeps water out, and it is where cut-rate installers cut corners. We do not.
Next comes the roofing material itself — shingles, metal panels, or membrane — followed by flashing around every penetration and the ridge cap or seam finishing. A typical residential roof is fully installed in one to three days, weather permitting.
Finally, we run a magnetic sweeper over your lawn to collect dropped nails, haul away all debris, and do a walkthrough with you to confirm the work. You receive your workmanship warranty and manufacturer registration the same week. The whole experience, when done right, is far less disruptive than most homeowners fear.
